Detailed description
The Catholic church of St Mary Magdalene is a late neo-Romanesque quarry stone basilica. The church was built in its current form in 1902 according to plans by government architect Heinrich Krings, Cologne. The Romanesque flank tower was raised by one storey and incorporated into the new building. There is a monument in the church park that commemorates the great son of the Horhausen community, Cardinal Joseph Höffner from Cologne, who died in 1987, and his many activities. pfarrei-neustadt-horhausen-peterslahr.de info@pfarrei-westerwald-wied.de
